Position– Pre-School Manager
Location – Smethwick
Hours – 32.5 hours per week, term time only
Pay – £12.65 per hour
West Smethwick Enterprise are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Pre-School Manager to join our setting in Smethwick. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with leadership experience in an early years setting who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day running of the pre-school, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all children while supporting and managing a dedicated staff team.
Working Hours
The Pre-School operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm.
This role requires 32.5 hours per week, with working hours 8:00am – 3:00pm, term time only.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the pre-school setting
- Support and motivate the staff team to deliver high-quality early years education
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and promote a safe environment for children and staff
- Oversee children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in line with early years frameworks
- Open and close the setting daily and ensure smooth day-to-day running
- Work closely with the senior management team and contribute to the continued development of the setting
You will be supported by a wider senior management team based at our main office, with access to ongoing training and professional development.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate, energetic, and committed to providing the best start for children.
You will ideally have:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (minimum)
- At least 1 year of management or senior experience within an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and early years practice
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge
- The ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team
- A positive, creative approach and willingness to get involved in fun, messy play with children
