Salary: £12.21

Hours: Full time, 38-40 hours

Role of the Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

We are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to become part of a vibrant and supportive team. In this rewarding role, you’ll help create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can flourish, explore, and grow in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. As a key person, you will develop strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, playing a vital role in supporting each child’s unique learning journey.

Responsibilities of the Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging activities that promote learning and development, following the EYFS framework.
  • Act as a key person for a group of children, maintaining accurate records of their progress and development.
  • Build strong, supportive partnerships with parents and carers, providing regular updates and guidance to support children’s learning.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that fosters children’s well-being and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Support children with additional needs, working closely with the nursery SENCO and other professionals to implement individual plans.

Requirements for the Level 3 Nursery Practitioner role

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (Essential)
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and team members
  • A caring, nurturing, and positive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Creative thinking and adaptability to support individual children’s needs
  • Safeguarding knowledge/ understanding of procedures

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 year working in an early years setting as a Level 3 Practitioner
  • Proven experience as a key person, tracking and recording children’s developmental progress
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs (Desirable)
