Pipefitter / Installations Engineer Location: UK-wide (travel required) Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Hours: Full-time / Permanent

Role of the Pipefitter / Installations Engineer

Green Bee Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial engineering organisation for an experienced Pipefitter / Installations Engineer. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and testing of industrial gas and pipework systems at client sites across the UK. You will work as part of a proactive Installations team, delivering high-quality, compliant installations while managing your workload efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities of the Pipefitter / Installations Engineer

· Assemble, install, maintain, and repair gas supply pipework systems, including valves, regulators, and fittings

· Cut, connect, bend, and weld stainless steel tubing using industry-standard techniques and tools

· Interpret and work from isometric drawings, blueprints, specifications, and method statements

· Install gas manifolds, cylinder hoses, isolation valves, relief valve vent pipework, and gas cylinder regulators

· Carry out pressure testing using gauges, helium leak testing, and other approved methods

· Cut and drill walls and ceilings in preparation for pipe installation using hand and power tools

· Manage time effectively to meet client and project deadlines

· Work collaboratively with a skilled Installations team

· Travel nationwide to client sites, including overnight stays

Requirements for the Pipefitter / Installations Engineer role

Qualifications:

· Engineering qualification (preferred but not essential)

Skills:

· Strong knowledge of industrial pipe materials, systems, and installation practices

· Ability to troubleshoot faults and carry out preventative maintenance

· High attention to detail and strong commitment to safety standards

· Flexible approach to working away from home

Experience:

· Minimum of 4 years’ pipefitting experience

· Proven experience within an industrial environment

· Orbital welding experience (advantageous)

· Full UK driving licence (essential)
