Role of the Marketing Account Manager
As a Marketing Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing client relationships within a fast-paced, creative marketing agency. This role involves overseeing campaigns from concept through to delivery, acting as the key point of contact for clients, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with internal delivery teams and external clients, balancing creativity with commercial awareness while helping the agency continue its growth journey.
Responsibilities of the Marketing Account Manager
- Manage a portfolio of clients through the full customer journey
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships
- Develop and implement clear client and campaign strategies
- Create and manage detailed campaign plans, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts and introduce new services
- Align client budgets with team output to ensure effective resourcing and profitability
Requirements for the Marketing Account Manager role
Qualifications
- A marketing-related degree is desirable but not essential
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Confident stakeholder management abilities
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Digitally confident, with an interest in AI tools within marketing
- Adobe Suite knowledge would be beneficial
Experience
- Proven experience in a commercial marketing or account management role
- Previous agency-side Account Manager experience preferred
- Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns including digital, content, branding, PR, and social media
- Hands-on experience managing multiple campaigns and client expectations
