Location: Dudley
Salary: £14.50 – £15 per hour
Hours: Full-time, minimum 40 hours
Role of the Nursery Manager
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager who will be excited to work with a unique EYFS framework focusing on; outdoor learning, nutrition, community and education. You will be offering and delivering high standards of childcare practice to the local families in Dudley.
Responsibilities of the Nursery Manager
· Leadership & Management: Oversee staff development, deployment, and performance. Conduct regular supervisions, provide feedback, and support professional growth.
· Curriculum & Learning: Ensure the nursery follows the EYFS framework and delivers a curriculum aligned with the company’s educational ethos and values. Work with staff to plan, implement, and review learning activities and assessments.
· Parent Partnership: Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and involving them in their child’s progress and nursery events.
· Safeguarding & Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in line with legal requirements.
· Prepare for Ofsted inspections.
· Administrative duties.
Requirements for the Nursery Manager Role
Qualifications
· A relevant early years qualification (Level 3 or above).
· A qualification in leadership or management is desirable.
Skills
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early years educational practices.
· Communication skills.
· Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Experience
· Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or in a senior role within an early years setting.
· Proven experience in staff management and development.
· Experience in handling nursery budgets, invoicing, and compliance paperwork.
· Knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections and other regulatory frameworks.
