Domestic Appliance Service Engineer (Non-Gas Qualified)
Location: Tamworth (covering surrounding areas up to 25 miles – ideal for candidates based around Leicester, Derby, or Nottingham)
Salary: £32,500 – £38,000 per annum (based on skill level and experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Role

We’re seeking a skilled and customer-focused Domestic Appliance Service Engineer to join a growing team providing appliance repairs, maintenance, and installations across the Midlands. You’ll work on a range of white goods – from washing machines and dishwashers to cookers, fridges, and tumble dryers – ensuring top-quality service in customers’ homes.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults across a range of domestic appliances
  • Perform installations, servicing, and maintenance
  • Manage and restock van-based spare parts inventory
  • Complete electronic worksheets accurately and on time
  • Deliver high standards of customer service on every visit
  • Maintain a clean, professional company vehicle and appearance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Support first-time fix rates wherever possible

Requirements

  • Proven experience repairing or servicing white goods/appliances
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (required)
  • Computer literate and confident using digital worksheets
  • Relevant electrical or appliance repair qualifications are desirable
