Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–3:00pm
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Salary: £18,850 per annum
Full-time equivalent: £28,275 based on 37.5 hours per week
Working hours: 25 paid hours per week, Mon – Fri, 9.30 am – 3.00 pm

The Role- Compliance Officer and Resourcer

Green Bee Recruitment is looking for an organised, people-focused and proactive Compliance Officer and Recruitment Resourcer to join our family-run recruitment team.

This is a varied role combining candidate compliance with hands-on recruitment support.

You will take ownership of candidate compliance files, helping people complete the checks they need before starting work. Alongside this, you will support our consultants by sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, making screening calls and helping to fill live vacancies.

Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer and Resourcer

  • Managing candidate compliance files from initial handover through to final approval.
  • Completing and checking right-to-work, identity and address documentation.
  • Processing DBS checks where required and verifying existing DBS certificates.
  • Requesting, chasing and verifying professional references.
  • Checking qualifications and relevant certificates.
  • Reviewing candidate application and induction forms.
  • Ensuring ten-year work histories are complete and any employment gaps are explained.
  • Identifying missing information, inconsistencies or potential compliance concerns.
  • Completing risk assessments where appropriate.
  • Sourcing candidates through job boards, our CRM, social media and direct approaches.
  • Reviewing CVs and applications against live job requirements.
  • Conducting candidate screening calls.
  • Gathering information about experience, availability, motivation and suitability.
  • Writing clear candidate notes and summaries for the lead consultant.
  • Supporting job advertising and candidate engagement campaigns.
  • Coordinating candidate interviews and follow-up calls where required.
  • Ensuring candidates receive clear communication , contact and closure throughout the recruitment and compliance process.

Requirements for the Compliance Officer and Resourcer Role

We would love to hear from someone with experience in recruitment, compliance, onboarding, HR administration or a similarly regulated environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage several candidate files and priorities at the same time.
  • A warm, professional and confident telephone manner.
  • The confidence to make outbound candidate calls.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to chasing documents, references and responses.
  • The ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Confidence using CRM, recruitment or applicant-tracking systems.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • A genuine desire to provide excellent candidate care.

Previous recruitment agency experience would be an advantage.

Experience completing DBS checks, right-to-work checks, reference checks or qualification checks would also be beneficial.

Most importantly, you will be someone who takes ownership, cares about people and believes in doing things properly.
