Overview
Looking for an experienced and qualified High Voltage Jointer/Fitter. You’ll be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of HV cables and equipment (up to 33kV) across various UK sites. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and thrives in a field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, joint, and terminate high voltage (up to 33kV) power cables
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on HV cables, switchgear, and transformers
- Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions to ensure system reliability
- Follow all health & safety protocols, industry regulations, and work best practices
- Work on-site in substations, underground networks, and confined spaces
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
- UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised HV jointing qualification or electrical trade certification
- Valid JIB/CSCS card
- HV jointing certification from a recognised authority
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Proven experience working on HV networks
- Understanding of HV safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements
